Abluftbehandlung nach 30. BImSchV – erste Betriebserfahrungen und Optimierungsansätze

The first operational experiences with exhaust air treatment plants according to the
30th Federal Immission Control Regulation (30th BImSchV) show that the required
exhaust air limit values can be met with sufficiently dimensioned individual components
(acid washer and RTO, if necessary biofilter for partial flows of low pollution).

With regard to the operational safety and to the availability of the plants closely related
to it, already in the first months of the "30th BImSchV age" in part considerable
problems with corrosion as well as blockages of the heat exchangers by silicon oxide
in the RTO were observed. A sufficient dimensioning of the exhaust air treatment
capacity as well as a redundant layout of the RTO gain considerable importance with
regard to the plant availability required by the 30th BImSchV. Apart from the described
technical optimization measures there are economic optimization Potentials.
These should be checked for the individual case when a long-term stable operation
of the exhaust air treatment plants is reached, and then realized optionally.
