Regenerative Energie
In 2000 the German company Aktiengesellschaft für Biomasse-Kompetenz started a research project on the development of a waste management system for Thailand rural areas in collaboration with the scientific institutes Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and Kasetsart University, Bangkok.
The three-year research project aims at the development of a solution for solid waste management in Thailand. Whereby, the adaptation of the anaerobic digestion technology of the BMK is the main task. The technology adaptation took place in two steps, first the BMK carried out research work at a German research plant. Afterwards the results were applied at the Thailand pilot plant. The pilot plant started its operation in February 2003. The technology adaptations at the German research plant and the implementation of the pilot plant are the subjects of the presented paper.

Der Klimawandel nimmt besorgniserregende Ausmaße an. Zugleich wird klimaneutralität versprochen. Im Paris-Abkommen nur vage in Aussicht gestellt, soll ausweislich Art. 2 des europäischen Klimagesetzes für die Union im Jahr 2050 und nach § 3 Abs. 2 KSG für Deutschland bereits 2045 bilanziell Klimaneutralität erreicht sein.
