The application of sensor-based sorting for the enrichment of ores is not new. For decades radiometric ore sorters are applied successfully in the pre-concentration of uranium ores.
Although sensor-based sorting has experienced an upswing in the past decade in the separation of secondary raw materials where it is firmly established, applications in ore sorting are still quite rare. Sensor-based systems, especially optical sorters, are more common in processing of industrial minerals, for example for the processing of limestone/marble, feldspar, quartz, talc, etc. Around two years ago, optical sorters were introduced for sorting platinum bearing chromitite ores in South Africa, as well as metal detector based sorters for the concentration of nickel sulphide ores in Australia.

Die innerstaatliche Umsetzung des Pariser Klimaschutzübereinkommens
- ein Rechtsvergleich

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
