Regenerative Energie
The landfill ‚Schwaiganger’ in the administrative district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen was definitively decommissioned in the year 2005. For the maintenance phase of the landfill had early been. thought about a leachate recirculation and then this was realised in a new form.
Result of this leachate recirculation should be a constant imbibition and an improvement of the already decreased gas production for utilising purposes. In the middle of the year 2005 the experimental stage started for observing the effects and the behaviour of the landfill body. At the end of this experimental stage a marked increase of the gas production is shown in the landfill body, which can be seen by the availability of gas and by the operation times of the gas utilisation.
