SUMMARY:
The analysis shows in basic different kinds of substrates, their amount and composition of matter.
The utilisation, treatment and/or disposal ways that are questionable due to the current law are figured out as well as the possibilities to use these material flows as co-substrate for co-digestion on WWTPs. Hereby, the gas production potential of a few substrates, the back load of the sewage plant due to the process water and the utilisation possibilities of the fermentation residues are considered.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
