SUMMARY:
The well established model for anaerobic digestion “Anaerobic Digestion Model No.1” (ADM1) was implemented to reproduce the dynamic behaviour of a full scale anaerobic digestion plant for sewage sludge.
Some key model parameters, identified through sensitivity analysis, were estimated with the determinant criterion. Their inference regions were also computed. The calibrated model is able to reproduce the dynamics of the process and can be used as a reliable virtual plant.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
