Advanced controlling of anaerobic digestion processes behaviour towards usage in fuel cells

The precondition for the use of Biogas in Fuel Cells is the avoidance, or elimination respective reduction of detrimental trace gases, which are potentially harmful for Fuel Cells.

The EU project AMONCO aims the costeffective utilisation of Biogas from the Anaerobic Digestion in Fuel Cells. Thus AMONCO has the following core objectives: a) Comprehensive Biogas analyses in quality and quantity on a detailed level - identifying harmful trace gases for Fuel Cells, b) Avoidance of detrimental trace gases in Biogas through optimal composition of the feedstock, c) Advanced controlling of the AD process to hinder the formation of trace gases while keeping a high CH4 yield, d) Suitable and cost-effective Biogas Cleaning towards the utilisation in Fuel Cells, e) Investigation and Assessment of the effects of Biogas in Fuel Cells through Single Cell tests and f) Development of techno-economic implementation strategy for the candidate countries.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
