This paper presents two innovative procedures for implementation in the field of waste treatment for drying and extraction of waste using a vacuum.
The procedures are referred to as vacuum boil drying and vacuum boil extraction. Vacuum boil drying is a procedure for the careful drying of various goods with low energy use. However, it has not yet been used to dry treated waste. Vacuum boil drying utilizes a vacuum/subpressure applied to the drying container to reduce the evaporation temperature of water. Caking and sticking of residue is avoided. In addition the drying period is shorter than that of biological drying procedures. This is a so-called coat drying“, where heat is applied externally to dry the material. This allows the heat from a cogeneration plant to be utilized.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
