As a result of both legal and operational requirements, measurement of flows at effluent treatment plants is increasingly gaining in importance.
Flow-measurement data is used, for example, both for correct determination of waste-water yield and also for process control of treatment-plant facilities. In the context of the pilot project described, the state accredited "Inspection Body for Flow-Measurement Systems" of the "IKT Institute for Underground Infrastructure" has now for the first time inspected the measuring points at around forty treatment plants in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia for correct installation and measuring accuracy.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
