Regenerative Energie
In the fi eld of renewable energies photovoltaic-technologies become more and more important. Therefore an increase of end of life panels can be expected in the next few years depending on the durability of the modules.
In terms of sustainability, conservation of primary resources and landfill capacities a suitable recycling for these modules has to be developed. On the one Hand an appropriate recycling is necessary to recycle valuable metals and glass, which are used inphotovoltaic cells and on the other hand the energy demand for recycling processes is much lower than for primary winning-technologies. In the field of thin film cells, especially the chalcopyrite cells exists no adequate respectively marketable recycling procedure until now.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
