Cutting of Secondary Raw Materials with Optimized Energy Consumption

The following article discusses the processing of metal swarf (chips) and shows the connection between cutting of chips for different grain size distributions and the influence for agglomeration (briquetting). A new developed chip crusher was produced which is able to eject not shreddable compact metal pieces. In the metal swarf are a lot of not shreddable compact metal pieces which may be locked out of the cutting area.

The prototype model is combined with an intelligent measurement technology for rating different results, e.g. cutting grade, specific energy consumption and special focus on torque, cutting force or stresses.
Measurement was done by numerical simulation and comparison with measurement values out of resistance strain gauges. The results of the measurement values can be used for comparing the load on the cutting tools to find the best cutting tool composition for an optimum service life. For production of the serial type chip crusher all the experimental analyses will be used as background.

Die innerstaatliche Umsetzung des Pariser Klimaschutzübereinkommens - ein Rechtsvergleich

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
