The target of the present paper is the activities presentation of the Greek Council for Energy Recovery from Waste (SYNERGIA/WTERT-GREECE) in the Waste to Energy Technologies of the Municipal Solid Waste.
'SYNERGIA†was founded in July 2008 by the Earth Engineering Center of Columbia University of the U.S.A., members of the Laboratory of Thermodynamics and Transport Phenomena of National Technical University of Athens and members of the Laboratory of Heat Transfer and Environmental Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Greek company INTRAKAT. Also CEWEP and Professors from all the Greek and many foreign universities participate. The main objective of the Council is to bring together professionals from universities and the industries who are interested in helping Greece to implement technologies for the recovery of energy from solid wastes (WTE) and preserve valuable Greek land for the future generations.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
