Regenerative Energie
A solid-phase extraction (SPE) method was applied to an extended monitoring survey of selective pesticides for a period of 12 months in water of Aliakmonas River (in region of Imathia). The aim was to determine their concentrations and seasonal variations.
This work presents the results of the monitoring survey of 84 samples of surface river water which were collected monthly from January 2006 to December 2006. The samples were screened using gas chromatography - mass spectroscopy. The most frequently detected pesticides were some of the more commonly used in Integrated Pest Management (IPM) peaches cultivation, such as, Chlopyriphos, Amitraz, Captan, Indoxacarb, Propargite, Methamidophos and Diazinon. Concentrations of individual compounds ranged from 0.025 to 0.31 g/L. The results demonstrate the suitability of the SPE method for routine screening multiresidue analysis in river waters.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
