Energy production from agricultural wastes and especially cultivated energy crops is the major objective for the application of biomass digestion processes in agriculture.
The development in Germany is taken as example for the actual applied technology for biogas production and utilization because in no other European country so many biogas plants are in operation. Most of the plants are operated with co-fermentation of manure and energy crops in wetfermentation processes. For mono-fermentation of energy crops discontinuously or continuously operated dry-fermentation processes find increased application. The gas is mainly used today in combined heat and power stations (CHP) but the interest for using biogas as vehicle fuel or for the injection into the gas grid has increased significantly

Die innerstaatliche Umsetzung des Pariser Klimaschutzübereinkommens
- ein Rechtsvergleich

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
