Germany, as one of the large travel nations, has a special responsibility for a sustainable and environmentally aware tourism. Therefore, one of the main targets of this investigation project is to verify the operation of an innovative, decentralized and modular system for waste water purification, waste treatment and production of energy from biogas in a large Tourists Resort located in Turkey. This modular system combines a membrane system for the purification of wastewater with a fermentation/biogas system for the recovery of relevant quantities of organic wastes.
The project investigated the feasibility and efficiency of an innovative, decentralised and modular system for waste water purification, waste treatment and production of energy from biogas in a Tourists Resort. Therefore two modules have been installed at a large Tourist Resort in Turkey: one module (container) for waste water purification with membrane technology and a second module for the digestion of organic material. The investigation project is carried out by a consortium of six partners: AT-Verband, University of Stuttgart, Schwarting Biosystem GmbH , MEMOS membranes modules systems GmbH, Iberotel Sarigerme Park, Ortaca, Turkey, Isle of Mainau, Lake Constance). This innovative concept can be easily adapted to local conditions and relevant environmental and economic advantages can be expected from the combination of the two systems.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
