Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) gravity dams are advantageous under the tropical conditions in Southeast Asia compared to conventional gravity dams.
An optimised dam design and construction sequence
planning including the intentional overtopping of the RCC during the rainy season contribute to cost savings for the river diversion and time and cost savings for the overall hydropower project. Quality benefits and a further contribution to the project economy are obtained through an optimum interaction between the RCC concept
and methodology and the according RCC mix design.

Like all public international law treaties, the Paris Climate Accords rely on national law for their implementation. The success of the agreement therefore depends, to a large extent, on the stepstaken or not taken by national governments and legislators as well as on the instruments and mechanisms chosen for this task. Against this background, the present article compares different approaches to the implementation of the Paris Agreement, using court decisions as a means to assess their (legal) effectiveness.
